The termination of Captain Danita Pettis as the highest-ranking black female senior level officer of the Cincinnati Police Department is a deep concern for our organization.

We hope it is not a pattern of unequal discipline, and we look forward to learning more about the matter in the days ahead. The city needs to ensure its focus is on representation at leadership levels.
