NAACP is funded through membership sales and generous private donations from individuals and organizations who share our mission. As an IRS-designated 501(c)(4) nonprofit advocacy organization* operated by local members and leaders, private contributions are our primary source of funding.

Your gift will help us continue working toward our mission of ensuring the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination. Give to fuel the fight, build power, and a stronger, unified voice for people and communities of color.

*Donations to the NAACP and other 501(c)(4) social welfare organizations are not tax-deductible.

Tax-Deductible Contributions

The Cincinnati Unit NAACP has established a fiscal sponsorship account under Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati, the region’s local 501c3 nonprofit umbrella for social justice organizations, which allows us to accept tax-deductible contributions through them to support qualified charitable activities undertaken by our local Unit. Checks should be made payable to Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati, 315 W. Court Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202, designated on the Memo line of the check or in a cover letter that it is to support the NAACP.
